Instructions
Preheat & prepare
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an
8x8-inch baking pan
with
parchment paper.
Melt butter & mix sugars
In a
large bowl
, melt the butter, then whisk in the granulated and brown sugar until smooth.
Add wet ingredients
Whisk in the sourdough discard, eggs, and vanilla extract until fully combined.
Mix in cocoa & dry ingredients
Sift in the cocoa powder, flour, and salt. Stir gently until just combined—don’t overmix! Fold in the chocolate chips.
Bake!
Pour the batter into your prepared pan and spread evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are set and the center is slightly soft.
Cool & enjoy
Let the brownies cool completely before slicing (if you can wait!). This helps them set for the best fudgy texture.
