In alarge saucepan or pot, add water and bring to a simmer.
Gently unwrap the somen noodles from the paper wrapper and add slowly add them into the simmering water. Cook for 3-4 minutes (check with package instructions), stirring constantly with a chopstick.
Once done, drain the noodles using a colander. Rinse the noodles under cold water.
Meanwhile, make the dilute the mentsuyu sauce according to bottle instructions. It will typically be a 1:3 or 1:4 ratio of mentsuyu to water. You'll want to
Divide the cooked noodles into bowls. If you used 4 bundles, that means you can divide the cooked noodles into 4 bowls. Pour in the prepared mentsuyu into a separate small bowl, or directly into the bowl with the somen noodles.
Garnish with your choice of toppings (optional, but recommended). Then serve immediately. ENJOY!
