Copycat Applebee's Bourbon Street Chicken and Shrimp

Make your own Applebee's Bourbon Street Chicken and Shrimp at home with this EASY copycat recipe! Cajun-inspired chicken and blackened shrimp are cooked in a buttery garlic sauce, served with sautéed mushrooms, caramelized onions, and topped with parsley. Incredibly delicious served with a side of garlic mashed potatoes!
Use tongs to toss the chicken and shrimp in the cajun seasoning, then drizzle them with 1 tablespoon of oil. Rub the remainder of the cajun seasoning evenly.
Use immediately or cover with plastic wrap and marinate in the fridge for up to 24 hours (the longer you let it marinate, the more flavorful it will be!)
Make Applebee's Bourbon Street Chicken:
In alarge nonstick skilletor pan, heat 1 tablespoon oil and 1 tablespoon butter over medium-high heat.
Once hot, sear the chicken until golden brown (about 5-8 minutes) or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F using a meat thermometer.
Remove the bourbon street chicken from the pan and set aside on a plate.
Make Applebee's Bourbon Street Shrimp:
In the same nonstick skillet or pan, heat 1 tablespoon oil and 1 tablespoon butter over medium-high heat.
Once hot, cook the shrimp for about 2 minutes per side, or until charred and cooked through.
Remove the bourbon street shrimp from the pan and set aside on a plate.
Make the Garlic Butter Sauce:
Using the same skillet,reduce the heat to medium. Melt the remaining butter in the pan and sauté the garlic for 30-45 seconds, or until fragrant. Make sure to scrape any browned bits from the pan to avoid burning. Add in the chicken broth and let the mixture reduce for about 3 minutes, or until the mixture reaches a "sauce" consistency.
Turn off the heat, then drizzle the sauce over the chicken and shrimp.
