DWELL by Michelle
Ever wonder how to make Taco Bell Cinnamon Twists? It's easy! All you need are some duros de harina, sugar, cinnamon, and oil. Now you can enjoy these delicious Taco Bell snack anytime in your own home!
In a medium plastic bag or bowl, combine sugar and cinnamon until evenly mixed. Set aside.
Using a deep-fryer alarge pot, heat your frying oil until it's hot (about 350F on a deep fryer). To see if the oil is hot enough, add a duros deharina to the frying oil. If it starts to puff within 3-4 seconds, then it's ready.
Once the oil is hot, add in 10 duros de harina in a single layer and cook until they puff up. Make sure you have enough oil to cover all the duros.
Remove the cooked duros de harina with aslotted spoon and transfer to awire rack. I like to put paper towels under the wire rack to keep the oil off my counter.
Generously sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture over the cooked duros de harina and you've made your own copycat Taco Bell Cinnamon Twists! If you prefer, you can also put in the cinnamon sugar mixture and the cooked duros in a large Ziplock and shake it up!
This crispy snack is best eaten fresh. ENJOY!
