What is Blove Sauce?

My first introduction to Blove Sauce was when I watched a YouTube video of a seafood boil mukbang (lol).

Blove Sauce, created by popular YouTuber BlovesLife, is this rich, flavorful dipping sauce that makes the experience of enjoying seafood THAT much better, especially during a seafood boil.

It’s a mouthwatering blend of butter, fresh onions, garlic, and a variety of spices such as garlic powder, paprika, black pepper, cayenne pepper, onion powder, lemon pepper, chili powder, cajun seasoning, and old bay seasoning. The recipe also includes oregano, sugar, hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and pickled garlic to further enhance its taste.

Now, whenever I plan to have a delicious seafood meal, I make a point of whipping up some homemade Blove Sauce to dip my shrimp, crab legs, and other seafood into.

It’s been a game changer for me and my seafood boil experience! Trust me, once you give it a try, you’ll wonder how you ever enjoyed a seafood boil without it!

  • 1 cup minced garlic
  • ½ medium yellow onion, chopped
  • 2.5 cups unsalted butter
  • 1 ¼ cup broth, chicken or vegetable
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce

How to Make Bloves Seafood Boil – Easy Recipe

Preparing the Seafood

  1. Prep seafood by cleaning and deveining the shrimp, as well as removing the shells from the crab legs and lobster tails. This will make it much easier to eat later on.
  2. Bring a large pot of water to boil. Optionally, season the water with your choice of herbs, spices, and/or lemon for extra flavors.
  3. Gradually add the seafood into the pot, starting with the items that would take the longest to cook, such as the crab legs and lobster tails.
  4. Once those are almost cooked, add in the shrimps and scallops. Make sure to keep a close eye on the boiling pot as these ingredients can cook quickly and become overdone.
  5. While the seafood was cooking, I whipped up the famous Bloves Seafood Boil Smackalicious Sauce. And let me tell you, the sauce really lived up to its name!

Cooking the Smackalicious Sauce

  1. In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together all the seasoning mix ingredients. Set aside. If you want your sauce less chunky, use a food processor to blend the garlic and onion until they are well combined.
  2. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium-low heat. Add the garlic and onion mixture and stir until fragrant. Keep an eye on the heat so that you don’t burn the mixture (your house should smell amazing!)
  3. When the onion and garlic mixture is ready, add the prepared seasoning mix to the skillet. Stir well and let the sauce cook for a few minutes to let the flavors meld together.
  4. Add the remaining ingredients such as Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, broth, hot sauce, and red pepper flakes (optional). Stir well and let the sauce simmer for about 5-10 minutes, or until it reaches a thick, smooth consistency.
  5. Your Bloves seafood boil sauce is ready!

Combining the Sauce and Seafood

  1. It’s now time to mix your boiled seafood with Blove’s Smackalicious sauce. If you prefer a saucy seafood boil, you can pour the sauce directly over the seafood in the pot.
  2. If you want the sauce as a dip, simply transfer it into individual bowls or a large serving dish alongside the cooked seafood. Either way, serve alongside potatoes and corn for extra heartiness!
  3. That’s it! I hope you enjoy your Bloves seafood boil feast!

Serving Suggestions

When it comes to serving up your seafood boil, don’t be afraid to get creative. Seafood boils are all about embracing a casual, communal dining experience!

For the best presentation, I like to go with a rustic and laid-back style.

  • My favorite way is to spread out some newspaper or a plastic cover over the table and then dump the cooked seafood onto it. This allows everyone to dive right in and enjoy the finger-licking flavors.
  • Feel free to use large plates or platters to showcase the seafood, and don’t forget to provide plenty of napkins or wet wipes for everyone to clean their hands.
  • You can serve the seafood boil with warm crusty bread, boiled potatoes, or corn on the cob – yum!!
  • If you want to add a bit of freshness, consider adding a green salad or some coleslaw on the side.
  • Adding a pop of color to your seafood boil can also enhance its visual appeal. For instance, you can sprinkle some chopped parsley or add slices of lemon over the cooked seafood for a touch of brightness. It not only looks great, but also complements the flavors in the dish.
