Why Should I Eat Canned Corn?

Well for one, canned corn is delicious. It tastes great in a lot of dishes, and with some tweaking, can be the star of a side dish.

Canned corn is also cheaper than fresh corn and is more convenient. Just open the can, rinse, drain, and use!

What You Need to Cook Canned Corn

  • 2 (15oz) cans of corn (approx. 3 cups), rinsed and drained
  • 1/2 cup water or broth
  • 3 Tablespoon butter, unsalted
  • 1 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika (optional, but highly recommended)
  • 1/2 tsp lemon juice (optional, but highly recommended)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Can I Use White Canned Corn?

Absolutely! Feel free to use regular canned corn or white canned corn. The steps and ingredients will be the same.

Here’s How to Make Canned Corn Better:

  1. In a small saucepan, heat the butter on medium heat until melted.
  2. Add the water (or broth) and sugar. Stir until the sugar is dissolved and everything is well combined.
  3. Add the corn, salt, pepper, lemon juice, and smoked paprika. Mix until combined and corn is heated through.
  4. Serve warm. ENJOY!
