- Once the water is boiling, add in sugar and chopped pistachios (or pistachio extract).
- Boil for 7-10 minutes, or until the sugar has dissolved completely and the mixture has reduced to a thick syrup consistency.
- Turn off the heat and remove the saucepan from the stove. Allow the pistachio syrup to cool for 5-10 minutes, then strain out all the remaining pistachio pieces with a fine-mesh strainer.
- Transfer the homemade pistachio syrup in an airtight jar and store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.

- Meanwhile, heat the milk until hot using a milk steamer. If you don’t have a steamer, you can heat the milk over stovetop or in the microwave.
- Pour the hot milk into a large cup. Pour in the brewed espresso, homemade pistachio syrup (adjust amount to taste), and top with the browned butter-sugar mixture. Optionally, you can garnish with a sprinkle of chopped pistachios on top. ENJOY!

So cozy! This is my favorite latte ever from Starbucks and the recipe is spot on. I used almond milk and it turned out great.
