Game Day Favorite Herbed Garlic Dip (DF, GF, VG)

This Creamy Herbed Garlic Dip recipe is 100% gluten-free, dairy-free, AND vegan! But wait, it still features ALL the creamy goodness and delicious flavors reminiscent of a traditional cream cheese dip! So whether you’re vegan or not, I dare you to try out this herbed garlic dip — it makes a perfect spread for snack boards or charcuterie boards of all occasions! A fan favorite in our home!

What You Need to Make Herbed Garlic Dip

  • ⅔ cup raw cashews, soaked in water 4-8 hours, drained and rinsed
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder 
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice 
  • ½ tsp maple syrup
  • ¼ tsp dijon mustard 
  • ½ cup almond milk 
  • 2 tbsp parsley, chopped 
  • 2 tbsp chives, chopped 
  • Salt and pepper, to taste 
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes, optional

How to Make Herbed Garlic Dip

  1. Add all the ingredients except parsley and chives into a food processor or a high-speed blender. Blend until smooth. 
  2. Pour the dip mixture into a serving bowl, then add in chopped parsley and chives. Stir until combined, then sprinkle with red pepper flakes. 
  3. Taste and adjust seasonings, if needed
  4. Serve immediately, or keep the dip covered in the fridge for up to 3 days.

Tips & Tricks For the Creamiest Vegan Dips

  • It is SO essential to soak your cashews until they’re nice and soft! But.. I get it. Sometimes you just don’t have 4-8 hours to soak the cashews. You can speed up the process by submerging the cashews in hot water for 5-10 minutes!
  • Feel free to adjust the seasoning to your preference! For example, if you like your dips a more garlicky, you can add more garlic powder, or better yet, a clove of roasted garlic!
  • Not a dip person? You can ABSOLUTELY use this same recipe as a spread for sandwiches, flatbreads, and more!
