What You Need to Make The Ultimate Taco Truck Green Sauce

  • 5 roasted jalapenos, stems discarded
  • 1 onion, peeled and halved
  • 2 large cloves garlic
  • 1/4 cup lime juice
  • 2 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 1/4 teaspoon salt

How to Make The Ultimate Taco Truck Green Sauce

  1. In a high-speed blender, add the roasted jalapenos, onion, garlic, lime juice, oil, and, salt. Blend until smooth.
  2. Taste, and adjust seasonings as needed to make this recipe your own. You might want to add cilantro, cumin, or chili powder – or you can call it good on its own!
  3. To serve, pour the green sauce into a bowl and pair with tortilla chips or tacos (when I’m feeling extra, I’ll serve this sauce in a molcajete). If not using immediately, store your Taco Truck Green Sauce in an airtight container. It will last for up to one week in the refrigerator, or longer in the freezer.
