What is Indian Paneer Tikka?
In literal Indian to English translation, the term “tikka” means any ingredient (typically meat, or in this case paneer) marinated and then cooked by grilling, frying, or baking. “Paneer” is a type of Indian cottage cheese.
Paneer Tikka is a popular appetizer served in many Indian restaurants. As the name implies, Paneer Tikka is marinated Indian paneer that is then grilled in a tandoor, or in this recipe, roasted in the oven.
The result? A perfect batch of crispy-on-the-outside and juicy-on-the-inside paneer, complete with flavorful roasted peppers.
