CAUSEBOX Winter 2021 Review + $10 Coupon!

February 21, 2021

CAUSEBOX Winter 2021 Review + $10 Coupon!

This CAUSEBOX Winter 2021 Review is not sponsored by CAUSEBOX, but does include referral links, which means that if you purchase a subscription through those links, you will get a $10 CAUSEBOX credit, and I will receive a CAUSEBOX credit as well. I have purchased my CAUSEBOX subscriptions with my own money, and all opinions are my own.

After waiting for 3 whole months, my Winter 2021 CAUSEBOX finally arrived on my doorstep – and it could not have been more than worth the wait!

It didn’t take more than 5 minutes to carefully take out everything in the box – and this may honestly be my favorite CAUSEBOX yet. Naturally, I had to write out my honest review of not only this box but this company as a whole!

I purchased my first CAUSEBOX subscription (yes, with my own money!) last year for my birthday. Since then, I’ve continued to subscribe and have only grown to love it!

In this CAUSEBOX winter 2021 review, I’ll show you everything I received in my box – and as always, tell you the good, the bad, and everything in between!

Let’s start!

CAUSEBOX Winter 2021 Review

The Winter 2021 CAUSEBOX includes 6 full-size products, 5 of which are choice products. Since I’m now an annual member, I got to pick my choice products that go in my box.

So this season, I received:

1. Thread & Supply Cozy Cloud Wrap ($115 value)

This wrap is made from recycled plastic water bottles, but feels like cashmere! I love the slouchy fit to it, and have literally been living in this wrap! So cozy!

2. SKIN&CO Roma Truffle Therapy Face Toner ($30 value)

Gentle and refreshing, this isn’t your average toner. Made with Mediterranean botanical extracts like witch hazel, truffle, and rosemary, this toner removes bacteria and cleanses your skin naturally.

As someone with sensitive skin, this toner doesn’t make my face break out! Plus, it is vegan and cruelty-free.

3. Activated Eco Reusable Silicone Baking Sheets ($24 value)

As a baker, I’ve already used silicone baking sheets previous to this box and loved them (here’s the exact set I had)! So when I saw that this was a choice product, I jumped on it!

It was really the most perfect timing because I had just worn mine out – and these silicone baking sheets are the prettiest kind I’ve seen. Bye, single-use aluminum foil or parchment paper!

Fun fact: you can save an average of 18 rolls of baking paper per year by switching to oven-safe silicone baking sheets like these!

4. Idlewild Co Yearly Planner ($32 value)

While I was a bit bummed that my CAUSEBOX only arrived in February (which meant I missed almost 2 months to use this planner), I still thought it was incredibly beautiful.

I loved how thoughtfully designed this planner is (think monthly overview, daily tasks, tabs, folders).

And come on, how gorgeous is the artwork and the quotes throughout??

It’s vegan, sustainable, and cruelty-free.

5. Maggies’ Organics Heathered Slouchy Socks ($25 value)

You’ve probably heard of Fair Trade, but Maggie’s Organics takes it to a whole new level. Made with organic cotton, these heathered slouchy socks fit like a hug for your feet, soft yet snug with incredible elasticity.

6. Sanctuary Project Thick Gold Hoops ($38 value)

Aside from its sleek design and polished quality, I loved these gold hoops because of what the company stands for. Sanctuary Project is a “nonprofit social enterprise providing employment to survivors of trafficking, violence, and addiction.” So with every purchase, we are one step closer to helping them provide employment to those who need it.

7. Original Postcard & Box designed by Sacree Frangine

The Winter Box was designed by French duo Célia Amroune and Aline Kpade, otherwise known as Sacrée Frangine (meaning ‘sacred sister’ in French). Through abstract shapes, soft lines, and peachy hues, their work captures the tenderness of a sometimes harsh world, using beauty and lightness as a source of refuge and reconnection.

PS. Every box comes with an exclusive 5″ x 7″ Art Print!

8. Winter 2021 CAUSEBOX Seasonal Magazine

As with past seasons’ boxes, this Winter 2021 CAUSEBOX comes with a seasonal magazine. The magazine explains the story behind the products inside this box, as well as how the brands contribute to sustainability, ethical practices, and social consciousness.

Final CAUSEBOX Winter 2021 Review: Is CAUSEBOX Worth It?

As someone who values a sustainable and ethical lifestyle, I believe 100% that CAUSEBOX is well-worth the subscription cost.

Not only does the actual products itself out-values the subscription costs by 3-4 times, but the mission behind each socially-conscious product is also so uniquely close to my heart.

I started out with CAUSEBOX by buying my first quarterly subscription box May 2019.

Since then, I’ve upgraded to an annual subscription, and continue to love CAUSEBOX even more now that I get to choose exactly the products I want 🙂

And on the occasions where I have gifted CAUSEBOX to my friends, they always tell me how much they love the quality of the products – and they usually end up subscribing too!

been making batches and batches of different cooki been making batches and batches of different cookies lately 😍

but what i really need to do is remake my Copycat Chick Fil A Cookie recipe stat!!

It makes 36 perfectly chewy and chocolatey cookies that taste just like the original Chick Fil A cookies you buy in their restaurants! 🌟

And the best part? This recipe uses ingredients you already have in the pantry, and requires no chilling time!

So.. yeah — make it with me?? 🤍🤍

Being a third-culture kid, I grew up eating fusion Being a third-culture kid, I grew up eating fusion food ALL the time 🇮🇩🇺🇸

From chowing on the trendy "sushi-ritos" with friends and regularly eating homecooked fusion dinners (my mother often couldn't find some of the more traditional Indonesian ingredients in America, so we had to improvise!)

But you know, I'm really thankful for my childhood.

Having to innovate with different ingredients has taught me a deep appreciation for the mixing of flavors 💥

And so last night (as I was cooking mushroom rice pilaf for dinner), I thought "you know, why not put a little Mexican spin on this very Middle Eastern dish?"

A ½ cup of roasted hatch green chiles and a handful of chopped cilantro later, we had a winning combo of our modern mushroom rice pilaf fusion recipe.

Seriously guys, it was so good we finished the entire panful of pilaf in 2 meals.

If you wanna make it👇👇

Outdoors Date Night! 🥰 @thefeedfeed x @epicbar Outdoors Date Night! 🥰
@thefeedfeed x @epicbar [ spon ]

In honor of this warmer morning today, here’s a photo of Evan and me in the snowy cold last week ❄️

Every week, we love setting aside time for a date! While it’s typically filled with sushi, burgers, and good convos, we decided to switch it up! So last week, I convinced Evan to join me for some snow fun outside⛄️

I mean, does anyone else get so fidgety after staying indoors all day?? 🤷🏻‍♀️

Anyways, knowing what we know now (that both of us get #hangry SOO fast when we’re cold), we decided to stop by our local @themerccoop to buy a few of our favorite #epicbar bites and strips. 🛒 We typically change up the flavors we get, but this time, we chose to go with the Bison Bites, Chicken Sriracha Bites, Salmon Strip, and Chicken Strip!

And let me tell you- these are amazing if you want a super easy way to re-fuel on-the-go! 💪🏼

Right now, ALL Epic Provisions items are on SALE at local co-ops nationwide until March 2nd! That means you can get:
💥 3 bars for $5
💥2 rinds $5
💥Bites for $4.49
💥2 strips for $3
💥Broths for $4.49

so hey, while we stock up around here, you can find YOUR local co-op by visiting bit.ly/find-coop :)

Do you guys have fun plans today? This weekend? Let me know! ⬇️😊

Today, I woke up exhausted. And not just the “oh Today, I woke up exhausted. And not just the “oh I could use 5 more minutes” kind of tired. But “whoa, I feel like I got hit by a truck” kind. So instead of pushing harder, I chose to rest.

How? I’ve been saving my PTO’s for months (seriously, I’ve worked so hard and was extra intentional about setting aside time), so I have the option to take the day off for days like this.

I’m thankful I have gracious supervisors who believe in the importance of getting things done, but also in a healthy work-life balance.

And here’s what I’ve learned: rest could happen anywhere, anytime (yes, including the middle of the work week!) But creating pockets of time to rest is so vital - this is God’s gift to us!

Could I have found an excuse to not rest in the billion things on my to do list? YES. But.. I chose to do so. The world will keep spinning, and today, I will have a slow morning. A time to refresh, a time to be reinvigorated.

Don’t be overwhelmed, it’s ok to stop. Really, I mean that. It’s healthy to our bodies, mind and spirit.

“Come to me, all of you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭11:28

So now that I’m awake, you can find me in under a mountain of blankets just slowly reading, sipping on some @artemistherapeutics Chamba Broth, taking a long bath with @cobigelow #HerbalComfortSoak, baking something exciting with REAL vanilla beans later today, and most of all - being more present in the moment.

How are you slowing down today? And how do you find REST?
