A Cold Brew Latte Kind of Week
I don’t know about you, folks, but this week has certainly been a “cold brew latte” kind of week for both my husband and me. You know, the kind of weeks where there are lots to do and not enough time to get it all done? YUP!
Thankfully, two of our close friends recently started making organic cold brew, and we got our hands on a few bottles – talk about coming in clutch! And let me just say: INSTANT ENERGY IN A BOTTLE.
While Evan likes to drink his coffee black, I prefer a latte. You know, with cream and sugar like how Starbucks makes theirs? So naturally, given our tight schedules and recent need for quick energy, I had to concoct the perfect “Starbucks copycat” iced latte recipe! But of course, a healthier and more cost-effective version (:

- ½ cup milk (regular or plant-based)
- ¾ tbsp vanilla extract
- 2 tsp maple syrup
- 1½ – 2 cups ice *see notes below

How to Make Iced Cold Brew Latte

Tips, Tricks, and Substitutions for Iced Cold Brew Latte
- You can freeze more coffee in an ice cube tray and use the “coffee cubes” in place of the ice cubes for an even more pronounced coffee flavor!
- Milk options: feel free to use regular milk, almond milk, soy milk, coconut milk, or half-and-half. Keep in mind that coconut milk and half-and-half will produce creamier cold brew lattes.
- Like your coffee less strong? You can use regular coffee in place of cold brew, or use less coffee to milk ratio!
- Not a fan of maple syrup? Feel free to substitute with honey, agave syrup, liquid stevia, or mix in some good ‘ole sugar! You can also choose to omit sweeteners altogether.

I found your recipe like 4 months ago and its now one of my favorite ways to make coffee 🙂
I made this in my dorm room and it tasted similar to the Starbucks version + it’s healthier. I will be making it again.
WHOA WHOA WHOA! I actually prefer your recipe over the Starbucks one I used to buy daily. I’ve been trying to eat healthier but couldn’t give up my cold brew latte lol and found this while I was googling for a better alternative. Definitely making this every morning from now on!
absolutely delicious 🙂 My teenager who goes to Starbucks everyday (or seems like it at least!) thinks this is even better than her regular order. That is a shocking feat!
