Ridiculously Easy Maple Cinnamon Rolls
Our Thanksgiving Brunch Tradition: Maple Cinnamon Rolls!
I had my very first Cinnabon in 2009 during a family trip to DisneyWorld in Florida. And let me tell you – I have been a fan of Cinnamon Rolls ever since. Gooey, warm, cinnamon-y, and downright delicious, how can anyone resist?
Naturally, I wanted to incorporate cinnamon rolls into our brunch rotation. Unfortunately, since we don’t live anywhere close to a Cinnabon store, I had to get creative and make my own! Now that I know better, I’ve sure realized that homemade always turns out 150% better!!

Well friends, I came up with these super easy Maple Cinnamon Rolls recipe 2 years ago, and it’s been our Thanksgiving brunch staple ever since! Finally, a ridiculously easy recipe for delicious, homemade Maple Cinnamon Rolls! These warm and gooey cinnamon buns make for the easiest breakfast, snack, or dessert!

What You Need to Make Easy Maple Cinnamon Rolls
For the Dough:
- 1 cups warm milk, regular or plant-based
- 1 1/2 tbsp instant dry yeast
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 4 cups + 3 tbsp all-purpose flour (divided)
- 2 large eggs
- 5 tbsp salted butter, melted
- 1/2 tsp salt
For the Filling:
- 7 tbsp salted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup brown sugar, sub coconut sugar
- 1 tbsp pure maple syrup
- 2 tbsp ground cinnamon
For the Glaze:
- 1/2 cup warm creamer, regular or plant-based
- 5 oz cream cheese, softened
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 4 tbsp salted butter, softened
- 2 tbsp pure maple syrup
- 1 tsp maple extract, sub vanilla extract
How to Make Easy Maple Cinnamon Rolls
For the Dough:
- In a large bowl, add the flour, yeast, brown sugar, and salt. Whisk until combined.
- In another bowl, add the milk and melted butter. Use a mixer or whisk until combined. Add in the dry ingredients and eggs, then mix again until combined.
- Knead the dough for 5 minutes until a soft and elastic dough forms.
- Transfer the dough into a lightly greased bowl (you can use butter, melted coconut oil, or cooking spray), then cover loosely with a towel. Let it rest for 15-20 minutes until dough has risen.
For the Filling:
- On a lightly floured surface, roll the dough into a rectangle.
- Mix the softened butter and maple syrup, then spread the mixture on top of the dough.
- Sprinkle with the cinnamon and sugar, then roll up the dough tightly. Evenly cut into 12 rolls and place on a lightly greased 9-inch round pie pan or 9×13 rectangular baking pan.
- Cover the pan tightly and let it sit for 60 minutes in a warm place, or until the rolls have doubled in size.
Baking the Cinnamon Rolls:
- Preheat the oven to 375°F.
- Pour the warm creamer on top of cinnamon rolls, and let it soak thoroughly.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until rolls are slightly browned and golden. Remove from the oven and let cool.
For the Glaze:
- In a large bowl, add the softened cream cheese, maple syrup, and butter. Mix well.
- Add in the maple extract and powdered sugar. Mix until combined.
- Evenly spread the maple frosting over the cinnamon buns. Serve warm, or store in an airtight container. ENJOY!
