Ingredients

  • 1 1⁄3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3⁄4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1⁄2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1⁄2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter (the JIF brand works great here)
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup M&M’s

How to Make Soft Peanut Butter M&M Cookies

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper (or these silicone baking sheets that I use).
  2. Into a bowl, add flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Whisk until well-combined.
  3. In a separate large bowl, cream the butter for 1-2 minutes, then add granulated sugar. Mix again for 2 minutes until combined.
  4. Add in peanut butter, egg, and vanilla extract. Mix until combined.
  5. Slowly add the dry mixture to the large bowl. Gently mix until just combined, then fold in the M&M’s. Cover and chill for 2 hours.
  6. Divide the cookie dough into 1 tbsp “balls” and place on the lined baking sheet. Press the dough slightly to flatten.
  7. Bake cookies for about 7-9 minutes. Transfer to a cooling rack, then let the cookies cool completely. ENJOY!

now THIS is what cookies should taste like! the consistency was perfect, not too hard, not too soft. It’s got the perfect bite, a delicious peanut buttery flavor, and a good crunch from the M&M’s. Very good!
